Charlotte Baker

Associate, Commercial

Company Commercial Solicitor, Charlotte Baker graduated with a LLB (Hons) degree from Northampton University in 2000. After graduating she studied for the LPC at the College of Law, Guildford, where she graduated with a Commendation. Following completion of the LPC she took a position with a Firm in Shropshire, where she qualified as a Solicitor in May 2004. Charlotte moved to London to take a position with Taylor Willcocks in April 2006 and joined Cumberland Ellis with the rest of the Taylor Willcocks city team as part of the merger in November 2006.  Charlotte was made an Associate in August 2009.

Charlotte acts for business of all sizes and industries and assists with many aspects of their legal requirements ranging from the initial formation and preparation of documents such as trading terms and conditions, shareholders agreements to the needs of established business which are putting into place exit or expansion strategies via the disposal or acquisition of companies. Charlotte also has performs company secretarial duties for clients, including the preparation of minutes and facilitating changes to companies such as transfers of shares or appointment and retirement of directors. On the Commercial side Charlotte has experience in the negotiation and preparation of a wide range contractual documentation including Loan Agreements, Commission Agreements and Software Development Agreements.

Charlotte prides herself on understanding her client's needs and goals, giving concise, straight forward commercial advice and providing support during negotiations.

In her spare time Charlotte enjoys spending time riding her young horse and the occasional game of tennis. She also loves to travel and heads off to the sun or snow whenever the opportunity arises.
